Eugenics

It's fascinating how some of the harshest environments have shaped humans into stronger beings. People who lived in dangerous, wild places or freezing climates had to be tough to survive, and over generations, this toughness got embedded in their genes, leading to healthier, more resilient populations. But it's not just nature that's played a role. In some cultures, like in parts of India where arranged marriages are common, the natural selection process is a bit different. People might not work on themselves as much because they know a partner will be found for them. This can lead to the continuation of genetic traits that might have faded out naturally. Even more extreme events, like genocides, have had a brutal impact on human evolution. While these events are tragic and horrific, they have also, in a grim way, filtered populations so that only the strongest survived. Over time, this has contributed to the overall resilience and strength of those groups.
